How It Works
Personal VoIP Home Plan
How Does EIS Work?
With EIS, you simply connect your telephone to your broadband or high-speed Internet connection using a special analog telephone adaptor OR using a dedicated Internet telephone. Then, just start making calls.
In a nutshell, your voice is transmitted in much the same way as it is over a traditional phone line but with EIS, it’s sent over the internet. Your voice and that of the person you’re speaking to will sound exactly the same and you’ll receive and make calls just like you would using your traditional phone service.
The main difference is that, with EIS, you can reduce your phone bill by 50% and save even more on international calls. Sign up today and start saving.
What do I need to use EIS?
- A broadband (sometimes called high-speed) Internet connection such as cable or DSL.
- An Internet telephone OR an analog phone adaptor OR a “Softphone”
- A credit or debit card (international cards are okay).
How do I connect to the EIS network?
Phone Adaptors, Internet Phones and Softphones
Analog Telephone Adaptor (ATA)
EIS’s service will work perfectly with most analog telephone adaptors. These adaptors allow you to connect your traditional telephone to EIS’s network using your broadband connection. You just connect the adaptor to your modem or router and that’s it.
You can use your own adaptor or buy one from the extensive range that EIS offers. Check them out on our products page.
Internet Phones
You can connect directly to the EIS service with a dedicated Internet phone. These high quality phones come with many useful features supplied as standard. You can use your own internet phone or select one from our range on the products page and remember, you can use an internet phone on our network wherever you can connect to the internet.
Softphones
A softphone is a basically a simple software program that lets you make and receive calls from your computer. They work wherever there is a broadband internet connection; even wi-fi hotspots around town. Download one now to see just how easily EIS’s network can work for you.
Traveling with EIS
Your EIS account isn’t just limited to your home or even to your country. Wherever there’s a broadband internet connection, the power to make low cost calls is right there by your side. Just think how much you could save using your account to call friends and family back home. No more nasty surprises from your mobile phone bill when you get home.
What is Broadband?
Broadband is a high speed Internet connection using a DSL or cable modem. The connection is always on and offers far higher speeds than a dial-up connection.
What is VoIP?
VoIP stands for Voice over Internet Protocol and lets you use your Internet connection for phone service rather than traditional phone lines.
