The cost for a traditional PBX infrastructure can run to thousands of dollars and tend to be complicated to configure. Indeed, in many cases, these physical systems offer fewer options than our Virtual PBX.

 

Virtual PBX explained

Today's modern mid-sized or large business will almost certainly have a PBX system. If you contact a company and are greeted by options to contact different departments or individuals by pressing certain numbers on your keypad, then you are connected to a PBX system.

Although physical systems are expensive and require complex configuration, they can still suffer from limitations in terms of the number of phone lines and international communication features. These limitations can be overcome, but this usually entails considerable additional outlay and more in-depth configuration.  

Our Virtual PBX system is a refreshingly inexpensive and simple advancement over these traditional solutions. It does away with the need for the installation of special equipment and offers more features than most of the physical systems in use in the business sector.

Most mid-sized to large companies already use a PBX phone system for handling incoming calls in their own country and our Virtual PBX is not intended to replace that arrangement. Still, by adding our Virtual PBX, substantial savings can be made on international outgoing calls and the routing of DID numbers to a main office.

For example a company in England could have international DID numbers in Germany, Hong Kong, Australia and China forwarded to their English office. Thus both employees' and customers' calls made in these countries would be charged at local rates, but the call would be answered at the main office located in England.

Needless to say, our Virtual PBX is easy to set up and, from a single web interface, you can re-configure all your PBX functions including voice menu options, line extension availability, voice-messaging, call forwarding and a lot more.

How Does it Work?

So we've established that there are any number of different ways our Virtual PBX system can be configured to help you get the possible solution for your business regardless of its geographical location.

Let's look at two real-world examples of how EIS's Virtual PBX can help companies realize substantial savings on their international call charges.

1. A company headquartered in China has satellite offices in five countries

They need to reduce their international calling charges but without imposing any restrictions on their employees' ability to call their international offices or their international customers.

The company has satellite offices in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Italy and USA.

EIS would provide DID numbers for each country.

Below we provide a simple example of how the DID number for the Canadian office would be set up.

In the Virtual PBX interface, the company would setup 5 extensions.
1. Press "1" to contact our Australian office
2. Press "2" to contact our Chinese office
3. Press "3" to contact our Hong Kong office
4. Press "4" to contact our Italian office
5. Press "5" to contact our USA office

Canadian employees would be able to call the local Canadian DID number from any fixed-line or mobile phone and choose any of the above options.

Should the employees want to make a call to any other international numbers, say, an international customer, they would call EIS's local access number in the relative country from any phone.

Provided the phone used is registered and allowed to use the EIS  company calling account, the user can call directly without the need for an account or pin number (Pin Free Dialing).
Unregistered phones will need to enter a pin number.

 

2. A company in France wants to market products in Mexico.

They aim to advertise in print and online media in Mexico and offer sales and phone-based support for their Mexican customers.

Traditionally, a French company would need to set up an office in Mexico complete with phone lines and employees to handle calls from Mexican customers.

EIS's Virtual PBX solution would enable the same French company to avoid this expense by providing a Mexican DID (local or Toll Free) and the ability to setup options in our PBX menu.

If, for example, they are marketing both to English and French speaking customers, they could configure the first option as follows:

Press "1" for English and "2" for French.

Then customers calling in would have the option of connecting directly to the company department they need (e.g.: Sales, Support etc.).

All calls would be answered in France and the company could offer full phone support for their Mexican customers, without the logistical and financial expense of a physical office, phone lines or staff in Mexico.

 

How much does it cost?

To use our Virtual PBX services, you will need at least one international DID phone number assigned to your EIS calling account.

As we've hopefully established by now, there are an infinite number of set ups and options available using our Virtual PBX services and for this reason, EIS do not offer a fixed cost package. Put simply, it would be too complicated for potential customers to understand and difficult for EIS to set up.

A welcome benefit here is that we are able to offer our Virtual PBX solution to you bespoke - that is, at a price specific and unique to your business and yours alone. You need only let us know your requirements and we will send you an offer together with pricing information on whichever DID numbers you need with PBX options.
